Welcome to the 57th DGBMT Annual Conference on Biomedical Engineering!
BMT 2023 has covered a wide range of topics from basic research, applied research, clinical research and medical applications. In addition to current trends in precision medicine, digital health, artificial intelligence, wearables, nanotechnology and additive manufacturing, the conference will also focus on established topics such as imaging, image and signal analysis, modeling and simulation, biomaterials, implants, and robotics.
26 - 28 September 2023
Mercatorhalle Duisburg
On behalf of VDE DGBMT, the local organizing committee and the scientific committee, we would like to thank you, for a great 57th Annual Meeting of the German Society for Biomedical Engineering, which took place in Duisburg, Germany from 26 - 28.09.2023.
The annual conference is one of the largest platforms for European scientists, physicians, engineers, researchers, students, and young professionals to exchange knowledge and experiences of the latest biomedical trends and findings. The VDE DGBMT brings a network of passionate professionals, all contributing their experience and knowledge. Therefore, we must have the ability to tackle current challenges. The conference was themed around a range of topics including medical translation, patient-centered medicine, regulatory affairs, healthcare sustainability, deep medicine, and technical sovereignty. The conference also focused on nurturing young talent. To promote networking and interaction on site, we offered various professional and social side events such as Young Forum, Get Together or our evening event.
One-third of all German biomedical companies are based in North Rhine-Westphalia and so we wanted our conference to take place closely at the Mercatorhalle Duisburg. Several universities and industry partners were an integral part of the conference and for the first time had the opportunity to actively participate in the conference program by hosting a symposium or joining our large interactive exhibition.
Glück auf!
